Tahrina Tanzim Tithi is a Lecturer in the Department of Humanities at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), where she joined on 1 July 2026. She is pursuing an MPhil in Social Welfare at the University of Dhaka, reflecting her continued commitment to academic excellence and research in contemporary social and public health issues.

She obtained both her Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) and Master of Social Sciences (MSS) in Social Welfare from the University of Dhaka. Prior to joining RUET, she served as a Lecturer in the Department of Social Work at the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) from 10 September 2024 to 30 June 2026. During her tenure, she also served as the Acting Head of the Department, Course Coordinator, and an active member of the Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC), the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and the Academic Council, contributing to academic governance, curriculum development, quality assurance, and institutional decision-making.

Her academic interests lie at the intersection of social welfare, public health, and human development. Her primary research areas include public health, mental health and psychosocial well-being, palliative care, women and child welfare, educational development, social inequality, and community resilience.Her research also focuses on development challenges affecting individuals, families, and communities, with particular attention to women and children. Through teaching and research, she aims to contribute to socially responsive, inclusive, and evidence-based approaches that addresses health inequities, social vulnerabilities, and sustainable development challenges in Bangladesh.

Tithi has actively participated in national and international academic conferences, presenting research on public health, poverty alleviation, climate resilience, and sustainable development. She possesses expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, including SPSS and R for statistical data analysis, survey research, and thematic qualitative analysis.

At RUET, she is committed to integrating social science perspectives into engineering education while advancing impactful research that promotes inclusive, equitable, and sustainable human and community development.
